He Sails

A little music while we wait …

So we’re waiting for parts to arrive. How about some music to ease the wait? Michael and I decided to write a country song called “Bible and Beer”. This was inspired by a article in USA Today about ministers doing outreach to people by going to bars and holding bible study there. Kind of a sad song about where you go to figure it all out. Hope you enjoy it – click to play the mp3: Bible and Beer

Lyrics below the fold for them’s that want’s to follow along …

Well I don’t claim to
know a whole lot about love, or any of that.

What I do know, is without you here,
girl I’m holding back, these tears

These tears.

But I still got
my bible and beer.
That’s all I have
since you’re not here.

When nothing is clear,
This book and this drink
will stop the tears.

My bible and beer.

Sittin in this bar, remembering how it went right,
wondering how it went wrong.

Your memory is fading with every communion shot.
I’m wondering how long this’ll hurt.

Yeah, this will hurt.

But I still got
my bible and beer.
That’s all I have
since you’re not here.

When nothing is clear,
this book and this drink
will stop the tears.

My bible and beer

Keep trying to do the right thing
but it always ends up doing you wrong.
Keep trying to go the right way
but it always ends up to far from home.

If I keep on going, you won’t be the only thing I’ve lost.
Though I’ll be ok as long as I’ve got

My bible and beer,
That’s all I have
since you’re not here.

When nothing is clear,
This book and this drink
will stop the tears.

My bible and beer,
That’s all I have
since you’re not here.

When nothing is clear,
This book and this drink
will stop the tears.

My bible and beer
