I’m the real Slim Shady

Read this today:

Most people choose to trade uncertainty for certainty, and give up the opportunities for adventure they have now for ones they think they’ll have later—they set their dreams aside in the “someday” files. We think these trades and risks are wrong—dead wrong—and based on two fundamentally incorrect assumptions: people think they’ll live forever, and they think that sacrificing earned income now means delaying or even jeopardizing their financial future.

We believe that the greater risk lies in not pursuing your dream today. Money can appreciate and grow—time does not—it just gets spent. Waiting for “someday” to come guarantees one thing with absolute certainty: you’ll have less time to live your dream, if you get to do it at all. Waiting a lifetime to do what you really want to do is a very high-risk proposition. We believe it was the philosopher-poet Eminem who said it best: “You only get one shot.” Slim Shady had the right idea.

Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?

Yeah.  Exactly that.  Yo.
